Description of Selection Process
LCF works with organizations that have a positive track record of working with the Latino community and have been able to deliver concrete results. We are also looking for organizations that have scalable operations in place which will allow them to address the needs of the Latino community as it grows. The priority areas LCF has identified are:
1. Building Community Assets by:
Expanding the capacity of existing non-profits to meet the growing demand for increased social and health services for Latino families. Developing more Latino-owned, community enhancing businesses
2.Building Human Capital Assets by:
Creating more bilingual early childhood education programs in Latino communities Preventing Latino youth from entering the juvenile justice system and reducing recidivism Lowering the Latino student dropout rates and increasing post-secondary enrollment, particularly in high need professions
