Alianza's Annual Leadership Summit in Yakima
Alianza Youth and Latino Community Fund of Washington State participated in Yakima's May Day March, "Fighting for Dignity and Justice for All March." We stand in solidarity with workers and immigrants. 💪
On May 4th, Alianza Youth Leadership Program held their Annual Leadership Summit "Latinos Unidos: Organizing for Collective Action"! The theme of our summit this year was Community Organizing. The one-day conference helped youth level up on their organizing skills to unlock your leadership potential and bring change to their community.
Young Latinx leaders and allies from across Washington State came together to network, share ideas, and learn new leadership skills. It was a great opportunity to get informed about social justice issues and to find out how to get involved in these critical times for our communities.
If you're interested or have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alianza Youth Leadership Program is a youth-led movement of collective voices connecting leaders to unlock their leadership potential and bring change to their communities.
Through community organizing and training, Alianza aims to build the leadership of Latinx youth by providing them with a platform and resources to do so. If you are between the ages of 16-25 years old, we want you!
The Alianza Scholarship is now available! Write an essay on how you took leadership and made a change in your community. Two recipients will each be receiving $1,200 for the 2019-2020 academic year. Be sure to submit your application before June 7th! More info can be found on the application. https://forms.gle/SjPVfuC4hHpcEKTb6
