The Latino Community Fund's approach is to capitalize on the Latino community's best resource, its people to identify, share and advocate for successful culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate organizations, programs and practices.
Of the billions of dollars distributed each year by philanthropic institutions, only 1.3% of the money is invested in the Latino community (Foundation Center, 2006). Many Latinos and Non-Latinos want to improve the Latino community but don't know how.

The annual Latino Community Fund Summit & Institute
is convened in partnership with public, non-profit,
academic and private sectors to propose cross-sector
solutions for the conditions affecting the Washington Latino community.
This year the summit will be held in late fall and
will consist of five events:
