June Newsletter

Latino Community Fund of WA State stands in solidarity with the Black community. There must be justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Charleena Lyles, Shawn Fuhr, and the too many lives taken at the hands of police brutality. In the midst of a global pandemic, we see a system that continues to be broken, and the racism that fuels that system. Our communities are tired. We must dismantle these systems that target our communities.

We must stand together, advocate together, and demand change. As our communities continue to strike, to march, to fight for justice, we must also work to counter anti-Blackness in our own community. LCF is committed to taking action in support of the Black community. We need greater police accountability. In this time of covid, our state must invest in the health of families, not in the funding of a police state.

This is a time for action. March. Donate. Advocate.

We invite you to donate to local Black-led groups and organizations at the forefront of this change. We also invite you to continue supporting workers in Central WA demanding basic rights and livable wages.

Today, we invite you to donate to the following funds and organizations that are at the forefront of this work. You can find a list donation sites, petitions, information for protestors and other resources HERE
